Galileo Announces Princeton HP-11 Student Piano
Digital Piano Optimized for Beginning Piano Student
Galileo Music announces the release of the Princeton HP-11 student piano - designed as an affordable solution for beginning piano students. The Princeton HP-11 is a full-sized digital piano in a durable dark-rosewood cabinet that targets the piano rental and beginning-piano markets.
The HP-11 starts with 88 Acoustic Response™ hammer action keys with multiple levels of touch sensitivity. The keyboard has been designed to the exact measurement of an acoustic action so that the student will develop finger strength and accuracy. The hammer mechanism simulates the key lever mechanics of a grand piano so that the student enjoys an authentic piano-playing experience.
The sound is generated by advanced PCM stereo sampling that provides 64 notes of polyphony. To simplify the operation for the beginning student, only the 10 most commonly-used instruments were included (Grand Piano; Vertical Piano; Electric Piano; Digital Piano; Harpsichord; Vibes; Strings; Choir; Jazz Organ; Church Organ). These instruments can be combined in ‘layer’ mode or played ‘solo’. The sound is produced through an internal 50-Watt sound system.
All of the features in the HP-11 have been designed specifically for the piano student – including a one-touch metronome with easy-to-use tempo controls; a handy one-touch transpose and a simple two-track sequencer. The user-friendly layout includes lighted display.
Even the cabinet of the HP-11 has been specifically crafted for a beginner. The piano assembles in less than 5 minutes, and the piano can be removed from the stand in less than a minute (4 hand-screws). The HP-11 includes two pedals (soft and sustain) and also a matching, padded piano bench. Connections on the HP-11 student piano include MIDI, Audio input and 2 headphone connections.
