World’s first “after-market” player-digital piano can be used with iPod, MP3, DVD or CD
Galileo Music has introduced the world’s first after-market digital player piano. The Digiplay II features an authentic player piano system that is available on Galileo digital grand models. The Digiplay II began shipping on January 1st and is available in a 3’3” ‘mini-grand’ style, and a 4’4” ‘baby grand’ style. There are 3 different real-wood finishes available including High Gloss Black, High Gloss Mahogany, and High Gloss Mahogany with hand-carved Briarwood Inlay Decor.
The Digiplay II system can be installed at the factory (on new Galileo pianos), or “after-market” (on select Galileo models) by a certified Pianodisc® technician. The Digiplay II is designed for consumers that may not have the space or budget for a larger acoustic player, but still want the entertaining features of an authentic player system. “The Digiplay II is designed to fit in small spaces. It gives the appearance of a full-sized grand piano, but it costs less and takes up less space than it’s acoustic-piano cousins” stated Galileo President Gary Girouard.
The Digiplay II reads the Pianodisc® library and will work with an iPod® (or other MP3 player), or CD/DVD device. There are over 4000 titles currently available for the Digiplay piano—featuring many various styles, genres and artists. The Digiplay II can play “solo” piano music, orchestral arrangements, and even vocals. The Digiplay II uses the digital piano’s built-in speaker system, so it’s not necessary to mount additional hardware or run cables — the Digiplay II has everything “built-in”.
