Galileo Introduces ‘Virtual’ Piano with Graded-Hammer Action
VP-121 Digital Piano Designed for the Home Consumer
Galileo Music – based in Cape Cod, Massachusetts - announced the introduction and availability of it’s new VP-121 “virtual” digital console piano. The VP-121 is the flagship-model of the company’s vertical line of digital pianos and features the companies’ latest piano technologies and an all-new graded-hammer key action.
The VP-121 starts with Galileo’s exclusive “iMotion” piano technology – which combines such acoustic anomalies as “string resonance”, “key leverage” and “damper dynamics”. iMotion makes it possible to reproduce sympathetic resonance and damper dynamics in REAL TIME. This process makes the performance more natural and allows for a greater range of tone and dynamics. The VP-121 then adds an all-new software technology that creates various ‘virtual’ piano types – including ‘concert grand’, ‘baby grand’ and ‘vertical’. The virtual-piano technology analyzes the room and changes the quality of the sound – creating ‘bigger’ or ‘smaller’ pianos according to the user settings. Another unique innovation is the optional “Vocal Guide” – which uses a speaking interface to explain settings and features - an especially useful tool for the blind or visually-impaired.
The Italian-designed cabinet has been created specifically for the home consumer and features three full-function piano pedals, console-style legs and sliding key cover - available in dark rosewood or ebony polish finish. Other features include: graded-hammer key action; built-in metronome; 2 headphone jacks for private practice; built-in recorder, MIDI In/Out/Thru; stereo audio inputs & outputs. All of these features are presented on a control panel that uses large, lighted buttons and a digital display.
