Connecting Maestro II to Computer via USB

Q:

How do I connect my Maestro II to my computer?

A:

The best way to connect your Maestro II or Grande II piano to your computer is to use a "USB to computer" cable. One end of this cable will be "square" - this end connects to your piano. The other end of this cable is a 'standard' flat USB - this connects to your computer. If you have your SmartMedia Card inserted into your piano, your piano will show up on your computer as a "Hard Drive". The icon of your piano "hard drive" will show the contents of your SmartMedia card, and you can simply add/delete/modify the contents of this folder as you like. If you will be using your piano to access a music software program on your computer, please see the documentation that came with your software program for "how to set up with a MIDI controller".
